In the high alpine regions of Jasper National Park runs the Skyline Trail. This four day, 44 kilometre trek takes hikers over numerous passes, along ridges with 360 degree panoramas and through high alpine meadows, offering some of the most spectacular views of Canada's Rocky Mountains. Highly popular with the outdoor community one needs to make advance reservations for the campsites on the trail, which are all carefully monitored. The only creatures without reservations or park permits are Bears, Bighorn sheep, Moose, Ptarmigans and the odd Cougar, who also use the trail on a regular basis.
