Kayaking over the Sunken City, Kekova, Turkey

At sunrise we begin our journey through the pristine mirror flat waters of Kekova lagoon. Surrounding us are small islands with traces of Lycian civilisation. This is Turkey at its most beautiful. At night we camp out on tiny beaches nestled amidst ancient ruins and lush forest. During the day we continue to paddle, breaking to lunch on fresh fish and gozleme, a traditional stuffed pancake, in one of the many quiet family restaurants dotted along the coastline. Our mode of transport is sea kayak, one of the best ways to discover the history and secret beauties of the Turkish Mediterranean.
