Take a deep breath, then go for it, I say to myself. With cables to assist I reach the top of yet another pass, only to look straight down on the other side. It's here at the top though where I truly feel the expanse and freedom these mountains have to offer. On the wings of an eagle? Almost. We are in the north eastern part of the Adlerweg which in total spans 280 kilometres from St. Johann near Kitzbuhel in the west to St. Anton in the east. Though there are many routes to choose from, the original high alpine route is considered to be the most challenging, requiring some experience.
